From the fire consuming our inventory in 2020, to the pandemic over the past few years you could say it has been challenging for our business. We have decided it is time for big changes at Sawa and for us to reimagine every facet of our business. This includes new and exciting designs, to reimagining some of the classics , to the very way we donate to the Mara Elephant Project and other groups close to our hearts. So, over the next few months we will be discontinuing any preorders and concentrating on giving back to our loyal and loved customers with the largest sale ever done by Sawa on all of our current inventory. Sometimes starting fresh is the best way to start over and we're excited for the next step in our journey. Thank you, as always, for your loyal support. From all of us at Sawa, Asante kwa kila kita. HAND CRAFTED BY LOCAL ARTISANS IN KENYA

"I used to live in a one room, iron sheet house. I now have a very good house.  It's a much safer place and I'm able to send my seven year old daughter to a good school.  I'm able to help my parents with anything the need.  I'm proud to work here.  I feel very happy to be able to provide for my family.  I have financial security." -Agnes
